Using parts of a simple commodity trading system, this tutorial teaches you how to select from, insert into, and update a DB2 database from WebSphere Studio and from a Java application. You will then convert this application to a Web service with the help of WebSphere Studio. The tutorial also discusses DB2 user-defined functions and stored procedures.
