I'm not a Bill Gates fan, but asking him to step down, I think, is like asking Jack Welch to step down.

Well, not just that, but more that Microsoft and Bill Gates are really synonymous in people's minds. Most people think one when they think the other. I don't think that happens with Jack Welch and GE. (It is GE, right?)
