Name this punchline

OK, I'm trying to place the joke that goes with this punchline:

"Rectum? Damn near killed 'em!"

(or, alternately, "Wrecked 'em? Damn near killed 'em!")

The closest I got was a reply to a blog posting that mentions the joke, saying "that's not a joke, it's a punchline that needs no joke."

ARG!

Its from a Beavis & Butthead episode...dont recall that there was a joke that preceded it...that's the way of B&B.

I'll agree with that. :) My wife is convinced that a) it's a joke involving a car accident, and b) that she can find the actual joke. I do think you may be right, though.

I've heard this one across a few different sites...here, I'll show it to you:

Little Johnny came into his classroom on Monday morning. His teacher asked him how his weekend was.

"Horrible!", he said. "A car hit my dog in the ass!"

"Rectum", corrected the teacher.

"Rectum?", replied Johnny. "Damn near killed 'im!".

...So there you have it. :P
